It happens every day out on the water: Sharks, sea turtles, rays, dolphins and other animals are all brutally murdered for the sole purpose of getting canned tuna on the grocer’s shelf. To the crews working on board these fishing vessels, it’s just part of the job and to tuna companies like Chicken of the Sea, it’s just the hidden cost of doing business. Until now. Thanks to an industry whistle-blower, Greenpeace has obtained firsthand footage of the destruction caused by fish aggregation devices (FADs) and the ships that use them. The video pulls no punches in portraying the waste and cruelty of these operations. It truly is shocking and it has to stop. So please take a minute to watch this video and then take action by sending a message to Chicken of the Sea asking them to end the use of FADs.
